The Faculty of Medical Rehabilitation Sciences (FMRS) was established in the academic year 1434 / 1435 H. in order to satisfy the needs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to fulfill the great demand in the Health Care Community. The Faculty comprises five departments:
1) Department of Physical Therapy.
2) Department of Occupational Therapy.
3) Department of Respiratory Therapy.
4) Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics.
5) Department of Speech Therapy and Audiology.
The programs in Medical Rehabilitation Sciences offer courses in rehabilitation background, equipment, modalities, and therapeutic interventions as well as clinical courses that include therapeutic techniques in different pathological conditions. This is done to provide sound academic background needed for study and practice of modern rehabilitation procedures in hospitals and health care facilities.
